6-Sigma

In optimizing its processes and maintain a world class operation, the main operations in the Group has made 6-Sigma management system the benchmark to keep the processes highly efficient and deliver desired results.

Machines and equipment

No effort is spared to ensure that the machines are maintained in excellent operational condition, and upgrading of machineries, keeping pace with technological changes in machines and equipment and increasing the range and the number of new machines whenever necessary.

Our capability in carrying out high value machining included a high degree of dimensional accuracy to a tolerance of 3 microns. In addition, some of machines are capable of 3 dimensional machining with the possibility of 4 axis machining in one setting.

Track record

The Group has been in business since 1980s. Over the years, it has accumulated a wealth of experience, expertise and established track record. We have an established range of customers ranging from SMEs, GLCs and IVINCs. Several of them have been with us since our incorporation.

As mark of the recognition of our performance in quality, delivery and services rendered, we have received awards from the "Supplier Recognition Award" by Maxtor, "Vendor Quality Award" and 'Silver Award for Vendor Quality" by Singapore Technologies Electronics, "Certificate of Appreciation" by Agilent Technologies, "Award for Excellent Service' by Aker Solutions, "Preferred Suppliers Award" by Singapore Aerospace Manufacturing Pte Ltd and "Recognition Award- Our Valued Business Partner" by Yamazaki Mazak Singapore Pte Ltd and most recently, "The Best Supplier in Aerospace Group — Asia Pacific" by Eaton Corporation, to name some.

Over the years, as further affirmation to the Group's recognition locally and around the world, it had hosted several meetings and visits for delegations from both local and foreign governmental, quasi-governmental and private businesses and organisaoons. Most recent visit to the plant was a delegation from Brazil.

Management team and staff

The Group is speared by an experienced management team which comprises of our Group Executive Director and CEO, Mr Joe Lau, JEP Precision President Mr Soh Chee Siong and the two main subsidiaries' General Managers Mr Alan Tan Shee Tong and Mr Eddie Goh Kuan Teck. Together, they have a combined experience of more than 60 years in engineering business. The top management team is supported by a core team of management staff with strong knowledge and experience in their respective fields of expertise.

At the production level, key personnel who have been with the Group for 5 years or more experience comprised of at least one third the total production staff. This is a strong indication of staff loyalty and their appreciation of the Group's effort in doing what is best in their interest, within the available resources.

Besides providing structured training which includes on-the-job training for new staff, structured ad-hoc training program is available as and when special training for employees is required. A system, known as the buddy system is established to help all new employees to assimilate into the company and given proper training. it is one of the Group's and subsidiaries' priorities to be committed to the training needs of employees and upgrade their skill level whenever necessary.
